Find a transaction
You can search for a word or use filters to make the list shorter. You can also open one account or one category and see only its transactions.
Search
- Open the Transactions tab.
- Tap Search transactions at the top of the list. Don't see it? Pull the list down a little.
- Type a word.
Search looks at payees, notes, categories and account names. It also finds the parts of a split. Type Transfer or Split to find those kinds of rows.
Filter
- Tap Filters.
- Pick what you want to see. You can choose a Status, a Type, an Account, a Category or a Mark color.
- For a time span, turn on Start Date and End Date under Date Range.
- Tap to go back to the list.
Each filter you set shows as a small button above the list. Tap it to remove that filter. Clear All Filters in Filters removes them all. You can search and filter at the same time.
One account, category or payee
- Accounts tab → tap an account. You see only that account's transactions and its balance after each one.
- Budget tab → touch and hold a category → Show Activity. You see that category's transactions for the month.
- Transactions tab → → Manage Payees → tap a payee. You see everything you paid them.
Good to know
- Sometimes a message sits at the top of the list, for example about transactions that need a category. Tap Show to see only those rows.
- Does the menu show Show Reconciled? Then reconciled rows are hidden. Reconciled means you checked a row against your bank's balance, and it's locked. Tap it to see them again.
- Is the list empty? A filter may still be on. Look at the buttons above the list.
